Sofala ยท Conservation Project
80% of revenue stays with the host community.
A community guiding programme in the Marromeu Special Reserve at the Zambezi River delta mouth. The reserve hosts one of Mozambique's largest buffalo populations, plus elephants, sable antelope, and over 300 bird species. Community guides from surrounding villages lead 4x4 game drives and walking safaris through miombo woodland and floodplain. 80% of revenue supports community anti-poaching patrols and a sustainable fishing cooperative. This is raw, uncrowded wilderness โ one of the last places in Mozambique where buffalo roam free in significant numbers.
